There is no shortage of candidates for the chairmanship of the Albany County Legislature, though one lawmaker thinks he has a lock on the job.
Paul Collins of Albany said Monday that he was asked by county Democratic Chairman Harold Joyce on Sunday to consider taking over the job recently vacated by Legislator Charles Cahill.
"I have no doubt it would please Harold Joyce very much if I took that position," said Collins, adding that he would be "obligated" to answer the call of the party chairman.
