Qld: Brisbane cruise terminal on line in 2005: govt
BRISBANE, Feb 24 AAP - The world's ocean liners should start arriving at Brisbane's$140 million cruise terminal in 2005, Queensland State Development Minister Tom Bartonsaid today.
Work on the terminal will begin this year after cabinet approved the terms of a contractwith Multiplex Queensland, which will develop the complex at suburban Hamilton on thenorthern shore of the Brisbane River.
Ships using the terminal will inject up to 1,850 tourists at a time into Brisbane andsouth-east Queensland.
