FACILITATOR PLAN ANGERS SOME SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS.(CAPITAL REGION)

Fed up with the bickering and infighting that sometimes plagues their meetings, the city school board decided to hire a ``facilitator'' to help them reach consensus on some goals for the coming year.

The problem is the board can't agree on a date for the goal-setting meeting.

At least one member, maybe more, may boycott the meeting to protest what they viewed as a condescending lecture by facilitator Margie Wood of Unlimited Options, the Latham consulting firm hired to run the Feb. 23 meeting.

``I'm not going,'' board member Pat Amodeo said. ``They embarrassed me; I'm not going, period.''
